7.1% of all patients contract a Healthcare-associated infection. Due to this 37 000 people die every year as a direct result of nosocomial infection. It generates approximately, according to the ECDC, 16 million extra days of hospital stay at a cost of €7000 000 000 every year – and that is only the cost of health care, not any indirect costs such as loss of income and emotional pain.

The most common infections are Clostridium difficile, Norovirus and the so called multidrug-resistant bacteria MRSA, VRE, ESBL, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter.

Clostridium difficile is a spore forming bacteria that can survive during a long time in the surrounding area of infected patients, which makes it easier to spread to others – often in hospitals. The bacteria can produce toxins that can irritate the intestinal mucosa and cause severe diarrhea.

The consequences of Clostridium difficile is significant. 10 000 people are affected of it every year in Sweden and approximately 12% dies. The disease causes great social costs.

The repeated studies by scientists show that LifeClean is the first product on the market that eliminates Clostridium difficile in 2 or even 1 minute. It also eliminates multi-drug resistant bacteria such as MRSA, ESBL, VRE, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter and Norovirus.

LifeClean is clinically proven

LifeClean is developed and tested in cooperation with the University Hospital of Orebro, Sweden. With the support from us, PhD Torbjörn Norén has conducted a scientific study that clearly shows that LifeClean is the first effective solution on the market for a complete elimination of Clostridium difficile, already at a short period of contact. The results of the study has been presented on Malta in March 2014, at the 14th congress for the International Federation of Infection Control.
